The college was called Central Piedmont community college. what they do is study peoples diseases they try to figure out a way to stop the disease form growing in them and killing them. The peoples lives are in their hands.

  Duties and Responsibilities: Cytology is the study of human body cells. Cytotechnologists are especially trained clinical technologists who study human body cells. They examine cells to identify changes that many indicate diseases like cancer. Their duties include preparing microscopes slides of cell samples, examining cell samples using microscopes, identifying abnormalities in shape, size or color using other automated lab equipment to perform tests, and analyzing report tests results to physicians. Cytotechnologist usually works in hospitals, clinics, or private laboratories. They work in universities for other researchers.

 Educational Requirements: students should take the most challenging high school courses in science math and English. Almost all cytotechnologist earn bachelor’s degree in medical or clinical technology programs that include a yearlong clinical internship.

Reflection: I think this quote is trying to tell us that no one else is in control of our life we choose what we do whether it being bad or good. An example of this is if your boyfriend is telling you to go to the college their going to but you want to go to another college and you have the choice at that moment no one else dose but you.

Duties and Responsibilities: rehabilitation or mental health counselors work with the mentally, emotionally, and physically disabled. It is their job to help patients develop more faith in themselves. They work with patients to help them become self-sufficient and productive. Counselors often work closely with their parent’s doctors and family. Counselors may work in private practice, for schools, industry, or in hospital or residential health care settings. Counselors often:
·       Work with patients who abuse alcohol or addicted to drugs.
·       Interview and observe patients to determine problem areas.
·       Conduct personality, aptitude, achievement, and psychological tests.
·       Help patients find and keep jobs.
Average Salary: $25,000-$45,000
Education requirements: students interested in becoming counselors should take a challenging high school curriculum.  
  A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or sociology is the minimum requirement for low level counseling jobs, but a master’s degree is required for most. To become licensed by a state, counselors must pass written oral examinations and work for about two years in a supervised clinical setting.

They ensure that this information is properly recorded into medical records so practitioners can plan and evaluate health care provided to patients. There are a variety of job specialties within this field including registered record administrators coordinate the various information management responsibilities and supervise record technicians and coding specialists. Record technicians ensure medical records are accurate, coordinate reimbursement, and maintain disease registries for research. Coding specialists assign the post correct diagnosis and procedures codes to records and report codes to insurance companies. Health information specialists work in hospitals clinics, physician offices, and many other medical settings.

   Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical laboratory pecialists include both clinical laboratory technicians   and clinical technologists. These professions are also   referred to as medical laboratory technicians or medical   technologist. Both technicians and technologists perform   laboratory work to identify, diagnose, and treat diseases.  Clinical laboratory technicians use microscopes  laboratory  equipment, chemicals and computer ton  perform laboratory procedures. They also collect blood  specimens and prepare culture media. They conduct tests  and prepare reports for clinical technologists or  physicians.

Duties and Responsibilities: Biomedical equipment technicians inspects, maintain, and repair different types of medical equipment used to diagnose and treat diseases. They perform safety operate equipment. Biomedical equipment technology has been one of the fast growing medical career fields in recent years.
Average Salary: $20,000-$38,000
Educational Requirements:
Students should take challenging science, math and electronics courses in high school.
Following high school, biomedical equipment technicians complete one to three years of course work in biomedical equipment technology, medical-electronics, or biomedical-engineering. Most programs lead to certification and/or associate degrees. Some employers will hire electronic technicians and provide on-the-job biomedical technology training.
