The pros to social media are that they allow those who are shy or have trouble making new friends to socialize more easily. Another pro to the use of social media is they allow people with the same interests to connect and converse. Another pro to this is they allow businesses and public entities to share information with customers and clients, and to market themselves inexpensively.
Another pro to the use of social medial is they provide those looking to date but are unable to find the right person. They also allow professionals to network more easily.

Some of the cons of the use of social media are they give hackers an opportunity to steal and misuse personal information, especially if users don’t correctly install privacy filters. And even with those safeguards, posted information is never fully secure.  Another con to the use of social media is they waste time, especially for those who compulsively check or update them. For employers that means a lot of productivity. They also destroy marriages by providing covert connections with others that lead to fidelity. They also let bullies spread destructive information, photos or lies. Online interaction can become a substitute for actual meetings, which can hurt social development and isolate themselves. They allow unscrupulous people to misrepresent themselves, take advantage of others or spread false news. They can be costly to those who post regrettable information or photos that are discovered by colleagues or prospective employers. Once information goes online, it never goes away.· They bring out the nastiest conversation; because participants feel anonymous, or at least have some distance from those they are insulting.· They cause users to spend less time outdoors and to be less active.

My experience so far at HPIAM has been pretty good as of now. So far I have joined the leadership club which is really cool I am very lucky that I got in because they were hardly accepting freshman this year. The only way that they were accepting freshman is if we would run for a position such as student body president or web master or secretary or president. This year at HPIAM I have also been doing really well on my tests and all of my academic classes because I have a 3.4 GPA it is not the best GPA but it is above average. But I need to improve in my Spanish class because I have a C in that class I do all the work I just don’t get it it’s really hard and confusing. I have also liked the pep rallies that we have been having in our school it really shows the school spirit we have in our school. I also really like the spirit week contests we have had I really like all of the day especially decades day because it was really funny how everyone was dressed especially the Abraham Lincoln guy with his hat it was really funny and amusing to watch.  My experience at HPIAM has also been a chance for me to meet new friends and so far I have I have met many new friends in my current age or grade but I have also met other friends in other grades. I really also love when they play music out during lunch it really gets everyone pumped and it just so fun to have because they used to never do those kinds of things in my old high school. I also like P.E it is like a free class I get to do something I really love and that is my experience at HPIAM.
