Student Success Statement 

"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless." by: Mother Teresa 


Reflection: I think that Mother Teresa is telling us that kind words are easy to speak but will be in our heart forever. I also think that she is trying to tell us that to be kind to others.

                       Occupational Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: Occupational therapists help patients who are mentally, emotionally, and physically disabled adjust to handicaps and regain abilities to be able to perform daily living and self-caring things. They frequently design equipment to aid patients and help them with therapy. They also people regain hope to keep on trying to get better. 

 

Salary: $26,000-$45,000

Education: Students who want to become an Occupational Therapist should take the most challenging math courses, science courses, and English courses. All states either require a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree with clinical experience and successful completion of a national examination to become an Occupational Therapist.

Reflection: I do not think that I would like to do this job as my future career because frankly they do not pay a lot and I would also not want to do this job as a future career because it is not my goal in life.

                        Progress Report 

The progress that i have made for my goals are, i am starting to learn how to make an egg. Another one of my goals that i have been working on is to get straight A's and so far i have all A's in my classes.  

                    Student Success Statement

Reflection: I believe that this statement is trying to tell us that you can’t predict what is going to happen in the future but you can shape it into what you want it to be. Because if you don't then society will do it for you and you not like what it does to you.

                       Nursing Home Administrator

     

Duties and Responsibilities: Nursing home administrator plan and direct of nursing homes and long term care facilities. They supervise personal, financial, and medical nursing homes. Most work in nursing homes, but some work for large corporations that control many facilities. Some are also involved in teaching and research.  

 

Salary: $40,000-$55,000

Education: Students should take challenging high school courses in business, science, math, and English. But most states require nursing home administrators to at least have a bachelor’s degree in nursing home administration, complete and additional work internship, and pass comprehensive classes.

Reflection: I would love to do this as a future job because you are getting paid to help people that need help. I would also want to do this job because I really like what is about and what you do their.

                                     Pyramid Healing

  

Duties and Responsibilities: They are powerful personal tools for achieving deep meditative states and accelerating healing on the spiritual, the mind, and the physical levels. Pyramid meditations and using pyramid energies is a powerful combination. After the healing meditation you may

Salary: They can make up to $100-$300 dollars per pyramid that they may sell.

Education: You have to know how to use the internet because there is no school for it and there are no classes that anyone can take to learn how to do this job.

Reflection: I do not think that I would want to do this as a future job because it is not my belief that a mystical pyramid can heal you and frankly also because I don’t even think you will get many money from doing this.

                                   My Progress

I have succeeded in some of my goals one being that I got my Starbucks gold card membership and it was an amazing moment. But another one of my goals that I succeeded was to be happy and right now I am very happy because everything in my life is going accordingly. I have also been trying to learn how to cook and that is not going to swell but I am progressing, I am trying to figure out how to cook an egg but I really don’t know how still.

“Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.” By: Japanese Proverb

Reflection: This quote means that if you don’t take action of your vision then you will be miserable and if you don’t have vision of your action it is a night mare because you don’t know where you are going you’re just going where it takes you and you might end up in a bad place. An example of this is if someone is going to become a lawyer and they don’t have a vision of how they are going to become a lawyer then the will fail in the end.

                  Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Nuclear Medical Technologists prepare for administer radio pharmaceuticals (Radio Active) substances to detect and that disease. They then position equipment over patients to make images.

 

Salary: $28,000-$42,000

Education: Students should take the most challenging Math, Science, and English courses in high school. They all must have a Bachelors or Associates degree and they also must have a certificate and licensing.

Reflection: I do not think that I would like to do this as a career job because It does not offer to much money and it is not the career job that I am looking for.

                   Glenn Cunningham

Another example of this statement is Glenn Cunningham because even though he lost most of his skin and doctors said that he would never be able to walk again he tried and tried and he did not stop when things got difficult he kept on trying and then he won 4th place at the 1936 Olympics. He was also has a world record of 4.08 minutes doing the mile. 

                         Student Success Statement

“Adversity causes some men to break-others to break records”

Reflection: This statement is telling us that some men break apart under pressure and difficulties but other to strive through a lot of that hard work to break records. An example of this is Michael Phelps because he striven to be the best and he did become the best and now has the most gold medals ever.  

                       Monitor Surveillance Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor Surveillance Technicians observe the electrical activity of heartbeats with is graphically displayed on a series of monitors in cardiac care units of hospitals.  

 

Salary: $26,000-$41,000

Education: Students who want to become a Monitor Surveillance Technicians should take Math, Science, and computer technology in high school. You must also have to enroll in training in a hospital or a vocational school.

Reflection: I would not want to do this as a future job because they do not pay well enough and I would not like the felling to observe the activity of peoples heartbeats that are displayed on a monitor.

Reflections: This quote is telling that we have to not impress anybody but ourselves this quote is also telling us to not try to be better than other but make ourselves  a better person. 

                         Health and Sciences Librarian

Duties and Responsibilities: A health science librarian provides access to books, pamphlets, journals, tapes, etc… Health and science librarians help out students and patients through the vast amounts of information.

Salary: $58,000

Education: Students must graduate from high school and take certain types of classes such as English, Math, typing, and science. You must also have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree is then required including courses such as science and typing. A Maters Degree in Library science is required.

Reflection: I think that I would want to do this as a future job because it has some of the career aspects that I am looking for in a job such as science and typing.
